- Form: Evergreen shrub, reaching 4-10 ft. in height
- Leaves: Pinnately compound, alternate, heavily pubescent, light green to grayish with orangish petioles
- Stem/Bark:
- Flower: Yellow, born in long spikes
- Fruit: Legume, with seeds noticeably divided and bead-like
- Comments: This is a low, spreading shrub, so should not be planted behind other plants that would hide its airy texture from view
