  • Leaves: Light gray-green, narrowly elliptic, simple, opposite, entire, petiolate and stipulate, glaucous, bronze tones during cooler periods
  • Stem/Bark: Fine pubescence (Malpighian hairs) on young shoots; young bark is slender appearing reddish in color. Older bark is gray and woody
  • Flower: Yellow inflorescences formed on terminal racemes
  • Fruit: Capsules
