Wild Olive

  • Family: Oleaceae
  • Form: Large multi-stemmed shrub or small tree, reaching 5-15 ft.
  • Leaves: Evergreen, opposite, entire, elliptic, acute apices
  • Stem/Bark: Pale gray
  • Flower: Yellow-green, multi-staminate, borne in clusters
  • Fruit: Green turning black, oval-shaped berry
  • Comments: Compact forms are available having smaller leaves
