Silver Buttonwood
- Family: Combretaceae
- Form: Evergreen shrub or small tree, reaching 25 ft.
- Leaves: Simple, alternate, entire, silvery pubescence
- Stem/Bark: Trunk becomes fissured with age
- Flower: Small, white terminal panicles, inconspicuous
- Fruit: Purple to red, conelike
- Comments: Green buttonwood (Conocarpus erectus) is less commonly used in the landscape but easily distinguished by green leaves that are not pubescent
