Leaves: Simple, whorled, entire, needle-like, aromatic

Stem/Bark: Reddish brown

Flower: Yellow, multi-staminate, 5 sepals and petals

Fruit: Capsule, brown

Comments: There are 29 Hypericum species native to Florida . Six of these are commercially available.
