Family: Annonaceae
Form: Semi-deciduous, single-stem, tree to 35’ tall
Leaves: Simple, alternate, deciduous, and coriacious, entire, ovate to elliptic, involute, prominent midrib
Stem/Bark: Grey to brown, becoming rougher with age.
Flower: Bisexual, large, 6 petals, white with red near the center of the three outer petals
Fruit: Yellowish green, firm pome the size of an apple but oblong in shape
Comments: Annona glabra shares teh same family (Annonaceae) as the native pawpaws (Asimina spp.)
