Form: Single or multi-stemmed evergreen shrub or small tree, reaching 15 to 30 feet
Leaves: Simple, opposite, entire, elliptic, glabrous, glossy, orange petiole
Stem/Bark: Light brown, becoming fissured with age
Flower: White petals (5) with yellow throat, pendent racemes with tubular flowers, showy, fragrant
Fruit: Drupe, turning pinking orange to purple with age, produced in large quantities, pendulous and attractive
Comments: The flowers give off a strong, sweet fragrance.
