Stem/Bark: Brown or gray, with lenticels
Flower: Pink to lavendar, flowers in axillary cymes, multiple stamens with long filaments
Fruit: Purple, berry-like drupe occuring in sessile clusters, persistant and highly ornamental
Comments: The 'alba' variety has white fruit.
