Leaves: Simple, opposite, elliptic, entire

Flower: Bilabiate, bright pink or red flowers, persistent calyces

Fruit: Nonshowy, schizocarp

Comments: Several cultivars exist including 'Raspberry Royal' with raspberry red flowers, 'Variegata' with creamy white leaf margins, and 'Pink' with dark pink flowers.
