Wild Lime

  • Family: Rutaceae
  • Form: Small tree reaching 25 ft. tall and 20 ft. across
  • Leaves: Odd-pinnately compound with glabrous leaflets and wide midvein. Leaflets are oval and have serrate margins
  • Stem/Bark: Green or brown with thorns
  • Flower: Yellow, globose flowers with prominent stamens
  • Fruit: Hesperidium
  • Comments: Though the fruit is not edible, the shiny leaves and long, spreading branches make this one citrus worth having in a landscape
