Pineland Lantana

  • Family: Verbenaceae
  • Form: Evergreen shrub, reaching 3-6 ft.
  • Leaves: Simple, opposite, crenate, oblong-ovate, rugose, aromatic
  • Stem/Bark: Pubescent stems becoming woody with age
  • Flower: Yellow, in bracteate heads
  • Fruit: Drupe, pink-purple, clustered
  • Comments: Endemic to Florida , often confused with the non-native FLEPPC Category I Lantana camara due to hybridization.
