1. Reduce nutrient loads from agricultural areas to downstream receiving water and marshes.
2. Create and enhance habitat for wildlife with ag landscape
3. Reduce negative impacts of ag pesticides released to the environment.

".....When heavy nutrient loads are released into a previously balanced system, there proceeds to initiate an interference with the existing nature and chemistry.  The delicate balance is then upset thus altering the previously stable state of existence.  Along with the enhancement load, there is usually the pesticide factor which proceeds to further alter that delicate aforementioned balance.  What has happened in the past 100 plus years is that most of our endeavors are for the human ends, with virtually no consideration for any other living creatures, which in turn have drastically reduced the numbers and varieties of those that may otherwise have endured"
